Network /systems administrator
Duties and Responsibilities:

Keep Pharmacy’s computer network up-to-date and operating as intended for the pharmacy use.

Determine what the pharmacy and corporation needs in the network and computer system before such system is set up.

Install all network hardware and software and make necessary upgrades, updates and repairs. Diagnose any hardware or software issues, and replace defective components. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Participate in decisions about buying future hardware or software to upgrade their organization’s network.

Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Support and resolve Printer issues. Monitor and perform tasks related to the security cameras.

Manage the pharmacy servers, desktop, routers, switches and mobile equipment. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

Perform data backups including prescription file backups, and disaster recovery operations. Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly and stay connected to the server at all times and the backup system.

Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware. Also, maintain network and system security.

Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Evaluate and optimize network or system performance.

Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.

Performs daily, weekly and monthly backups, know all backup procedures and restore. Monitor and update antivirus

Add users to a network and assign and update security permissions on the network. Train users on the proper use of hardware and software. Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.

Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
